CCEA’s National Board Cohorts

National Board Candidate support is provided to educators who are working to achieve National Board Certification (NBC). Trained National Board facilitators guide educators through the process.

CCEA’s NBCT Cohort program prepares teachers for National Board certification. This program includes:

  • Guidance by trained National Board facilitators.
  • Offer at least 24 hours of facilitation during the school year.
  • Access to all training and resources on Canvas.
  • Provide formative review of the candidate’s work.
  • Coach candidates during the annual Content Collaboration session.

Member Discount: $275 per year
Non-Member Cohort fee: $350 per year

What are Incentives for achieving NBCT?

NEVADA: 5% salary increase and license renewal

    • Teachers receive a 5% increase on your base salary that is applied to your pension.
    • Teachers and counselors may renew your license by earning your NB Certification.

CLARK COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT: Column advancement worth over $5,600

    • Submission of 4 components earns the teacher 133 CUs.
    • Earn an additional 92 CUs upon successfully certifying for NBCT.

NATIONAL: Transferable teaching license

    • After certifying, your license is transferable to most other states in the nation.
